USE AS A READING LOG ALTERNATIVE!
We all know that students frequently do not complete their reading logs.
Video booktalks make great a great alternative to reading logs. Students can demonstrate their reading with the video booktalk.
LESSON TIMING:
- Lesson #1 – 20-25 minutes – Talk students through the introduction presentation
- Lesson #2 – Students create their video booktalks – This lesson can be skipped if students are expected to record their booktalks on their own time.
- Lesson #3 – 40 minutes – Peer grading with the rubric – Students can grade a few video booktalks in this time, so it can be cut shorter if needed.
