WHAT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED?
Student prior knowledge of Texas is great, but students can certainly learn a lot from these Boom Cards, even if they do not know all the answers.
If you also need a lesson to go with these Boom Cards, I have a Texas Library Lesson that is perfect for these cards! Many of the answers to the questions in the Boom Cards appear in the presentation.
The Texas Library Lesson was created as a library lesson, but it also works well in social studies classrooms. It includes an editable presentation, two differentiated scavenger hunt activities, reading recommendations, and a standards-aligned lesson plan.

USING YOUR BOOM™ CARDS:
To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards).
