I live in a cute little beach town in Mexico. I love it here – the rich Maya culture, the warm people, the diverse wildlife, the amazing food, and of course, the beach – but we literally never have autumn. Or winter. Or spring. I’m not kidding – daily high temperatures hover between 80 and 90 degrees year-round. And it’s really, really humid.
At least I don’t have to have a large wardrobe.
But I miss autumn so much! Sometimes I just want some crunchy leaves, the smell of fireplace smoke in the air, the crisp breeze, and a pair of tall leather boots.
So when I created this Autumn Digital Booktalk, I got to live vicariously through the characters and stories. I got to remember the smell of wet leaves and the sound of leaves falling when the wind blows.
This Autumn Digital Booktalk slideshow is ready-to-go for the library! Play the slides on a timed loop. Students and teachers are guaranteed to ask about the books! Instructions for setting up slide timings in Google are included on Slide 4 of the presentation.
