This YA Free Verse and Poetry Digital Booktalk includes books for middle school and high school readers. Many titles are recommended for Grades 7+, but if you are a middle school librarian, you’ll want to have a look at the 9-12 titles.
The YA Free Verse and Poetry Digital Booktalk is editable, so you can easily replace books in the presentation titles from your library. Use Goodreads, Amazon, or Google Images to copy book covers into your Digital Booktalk slides.

Play the slides on a timed loop in the library or hallway to encourage students to check out your library’s YA free verse and poetry titles.
To download the digital booktalk presentation, click the link underneath the slideshow below. Click “make a copy” when the message pops up to make a copy in your Google Drive. You can then edit it to include books from your school library.
I included some fantastic titles below, many of which have starred professional reviews. Some have also won book awards, so it can also make a great collection development tool. I also plan to update these slides from time to time to add new titles!
