SCAVENGER HUNT ACTIVITIES

These two two differentiated scavenger hunt activities will keep students busy after the lesson. Scroll the Part II slides on a screen, and students can use the information and images in the slides to complete the scavenger hunt activity of their choice.

  • 2 differentiated scavenger hunts
  • “Easier” scavenger hunt is for students who are not yet reading; students color the objects as they see them in Part II of the book awards presentation
  • “Harder” scavenger hunt includes the same images as in the easier version, plus nine questions to answer based on the text in the Part II slides. Students are looking for the answers to the questions and the images in the presentation.
  • Includes answer key for the “Harder” scavenger hunt. Easy version does not need an answer key.

RECOMMENDED READS

This is a separate document editable in PowerPoint or PDF. It’s great to hand out to teachers and students! Or, print the list on the back of the scavenger hunts to send home to parents.

  • You can edit the titles to suit your library
  • The titles on the two pages are the same, but they are sorted differently on each page. One page sorts by fiction, nonfiction, and picture book. The other sorts by award.
