It’s almost summer (Hallelujah!), so it’s time to start our free audiobook downloads from Audiobook Sync. This service has been around since 2010. I have used it myself since 2012 to download free audiobooks and promote summer reading with my students.
So what is Audiobook Sync? It’s a free service that offers two YA audiobook downloads each week. The selections are paired by weekly theme and usually feature one recently-released YA title and one “classic” title. The audiobooks are full-length, high quality downloads, so they are the real deal.
You need to download the free OverDrive app (if you don’t have it already) to listen. If you are living or traveling outside the USA, you will need a USA VPN to access most of the titles.
Are you a teacher or librarian? The toolkit also includes printable bookmarks, newsletter (explaining the program), poster, website banner, printable QR code posters with audio clips, logo, and more.
