(Currently on p. 203)--Like Funke's other novels, Reckless builds slowly. I don't get nearly as much reading done during the week as I do on weekends, but I have found myself reading large chunks of this one before bed each night. I'll look down and go "Wow! I've already read 50 pages!" I love the way Funke intertwines traditional fairy tales such as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Hansel and Gretel throughout the story.
It does take some time to understand the Mirrorworld. Not everything makes sense right away. I would also like to see some romance, which to me, is important in a fairy tale. Maybe the romance is coming, but it seems like it should have been present by now since I am more than halfway through the book.
